Today’s Learning: Glossophobia

Glossophobia or speech anxiety is the strong fear of public speaking.  It’s a type of phobia/anxiety disorder characterized by an excessive fear of speaking at an audience. This fear can manifest in physical symptoms like trembling, sweating, and a racing heart, as well as mental disruptions and detrimental speech performance.

I can safely confirm that I have this condition since time immemorial. I never liked speaking in front, when all eyes and ears are at me; and most especially when I am unprepared. I hate spontaneous spotlights.

At times, when speaking in front cannot be avoided, pasensyahi nalang jud ko ninyo if i struggle. When you see me sweat na and start apologizing a lot, do note that I am already crying inside. Share ko lang.
